Punta Gorda Isles

Punta Gorda Isles (PGI) is a deed-restricted, waterfront community offering boating, fishing, tennis, and golf within the Charlotte Harbor area.  Most homes are located on canals with access to the harbor and Gulf of Mexico, with the City of Punta Gorda being responsible for maintaining these canals and seawalls.  There is a wide range in prices of homes, condos, and new construction, depending upon the amenities offered.  Home sizes vary from modest 1,800 sqft. bungalows to 4,000+ manses.

The Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association is an organization that represents the interests of residents in PGI.  It hosts a variety of activities that  meet all interests, including clubs and educational classes for paddlers, boaters, gardeners, and many more.

Located in the heart of Punta Gorda Isles is St. Andrews South Golf Club, a private club wholly owned by its members.  Founded in 1980, St. Andrews features a challenging 6,103 yard, par 71 course to golfers of all skill levels.  It maintains a limited number of memberships, guaranteeing readily available tee times at peak season.  In addition to its golf course, the club has a newly renovated dining area and bar, and plans frequent social events and theme parties for members to enjoy.

A short drive from here, residents can visit Fisherman's Village, a popular shopping plaza offering casual waterfront dining, boutique stores, and boating access.  Those visiting Punta Gorda may also choose to rent fully furnished vacation villas found in Fisherman's Village.
